In the past year we’ve grown rapidly, with new Braavo team members and offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Barcelona. We decided it was time to bring the company together for a weeklong gathering and company offsite so everyone could meet each other in-person and align on our vision and goals. 

Co-founders Mark Loranger and Sergei Kovalenko kicked off the day at our NYC headquarters in Chelsea. We reviewed Braavo’s mission, vision, and values, as well as our goals as we build the future of financing for mobile growth. 

Next was a fun-filled cooking party and lunch that took Braavo team collaboration to a new level. Hosted by NYC culinary school My Cooking Party, we learned proper knife techniques, new recipes, and that cooking is always more fun with friends and a full glass of wine. We discovered who had some serious culinary skills (looking at you, Anna!), who prefers, shall we say, simplicity in meal prep (ahem, Sergei), and who had a tendency to break pasta machines (anonymous to protect their identities).

After a delicious meal, the Braavo team headed to Hudson River Park for an afternoon of kayaking on the water. The weather could not have been better! We explored the waterfront and soaked in some (ok, a lot of) sun, and engaged in a friendly kayaking competition.

We returned to the office a little sunburnt but energized for our company’s trajectory and to work even better together. Later in the week, we were treated to an inspiring presentation from Graham Gnall, Product Lead, about our analytics platform. We also heard from Max Weintraub, Business Development Manager, who covered user acquisition best practices for mobile games.
